FOOD LION 10/14 - 10/20

Whole Boneless Beef Sirloin TIp $1.77/lb. This is when I stock up on ground beef. FL runs this great price about twice a year. The beef is very lean. The butcher will cut it up any way you want. I get most of it ground and some cut up into stew meat. Here is a link to a previous post when these were on sale last Spring.

Several of the Ronzoni pastas are on sale for $1/package. There are 50c/1 blinkies in the aisle below these.

Barilla penne are $1/box. There were Barilla Qs in a recent insert.

6 or 8 roll Scott PT are $4.99 ea. A recent insert had $1/1 Qs for these.

Southern Savers

I just posted the information on the Food Lion deals found at Southern Savers, but decided I needed a separate post to plug her blog. I use Jenny's blog every week sometimes several times each week. I highly recommend taking a look around. It is a blog worth your visit. Ad information is clean and easy to understand. Links to pritables are right there on the Ad match ups.

FOOD LION - my shopping trip 6/18

Here's my FL run from today:

I bought:

1 DiGiorno Pizza

2 boxes Ritz crackers

2 boxes Wheat thins

1 FL elbow macaroni

10 FL chunk light tuna in water

2 large boxes MultiGrain Cheerios

2 large boxes Kix cereal

1 Kraft shredded cheese

1 5lb. bag red potatoes

6 bananas (1 not pictured - 20 month old ate it!)

I used 4 FLIPs and 8 mfr Qs

I also used a $4 OYNO catalina from purchasing FL brand items.

I paid $10.95 OOP.

I received 2 OYNO CATs:

a $1 OYNO from DiGiorno and a $2.75 OYNO because I bought 11 FL products.

I saved:

$17.25 in MVP savings

$6.00 in FLIPS

$4.00 using OYNO CATs and

$16.23 in mfr. Qs

I paid $10.95 for $54.43 in groceries and earned another $3.75 in future groceries.

Food Lion DEAL on Hefty Garbage Bags!

Hefty 20 count garbage bags are on sale BOGO this week at FL. The regular price at my FL is $4.39/1. These ring at half price ($2.20 when scanned through the register. There is a $1/1 in the 4/19 RP. $2.20 ea. - $1 = $1.10/box! That's just 5.5c/bag!
Note: I didn't check the ending date for this price. It may be May 5.

Moneywise Moms found a great deal on Post cereals using in store and manufacturer coupons--making Post cereals $1 for 2 boxes or even money makers when buying multiples with coupons. Food Lion - cheap Electrasol Gel Pacs

At my FL the Electrasol 32 count Gel Packs are $6.49 ea. Right now they are BOGO. So, you pay $6.49 for two boxes, or $3.25 each. This offer expires 04/07/09.

Like most chains, FL has a customer card. FL's is called the MVP card. When an item is on sale it shows up on your receipt as MVP savings.

FL also emails 4 coupons here after referred to as FLIPs (Food Lion Internet Printable coupon) every week (on Wednesday's when their new ad comes out) to customers that have registered their email addresses at Foodlion.com. If you are not already signed up do it today!
You can use these store coupons with a manufacturer's Q to get an even better deal. Use them both together when the item is on sale & you've got a great deal!

-$20.00 coupon savings

=$19.17 out of pocket (OOP). 15 months ago I would have paid $60.11!!
